Edmund Optics offers a wide range of optical elements in stock, including dispersion prisms.
The dispersion prisms from Edmund Optics are available either uncoated or with anti-reflective/reflection-enhancing coatings.
We also offer dispersion prisms made from multiple substrate materials suitable for infrared (IR) applications.
The substrate materials for infrared (IR) include calcium fluoride (CaF2), germanium (Ge), or zinc selenide (ZnSe).
Calcium fluoride (CaF2), a low refractive index material, has exceptional transparency in the range of 0.19 to 7 μm.
It is suitable for use from ultraviolet (UV) to infrared (IR).
Germanium (Ge), a high refractive index material, is ideal for maximizing transparency in the range of 3 to 12 μm.
Zinc selenide (ZnSe) is commonly used in the range of 1 to 16 μm and is suitable for use with CO2 lasers.
